Lovely place!! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious!! I really wanted to try the fried chicken but opted for the shrimp n’ grits and it did not disappoint!! Excellent flavor! The iced vanilla cold brew w blueberry cold foam was good.
Solid spot! I was pleasantly surprised with the affordable prices. 3 Coors Light is top tier. The southern food was great, especially the fried green tomatoes appetizer. I’d have no hesitation returning here to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the downtown or Union Station area.
Went here after Church nice location in downtown Denver next to Union Station. The food is ok. I loved their fried green tomatoes. The honey dust chicken was tender juicy. I would had prefer alittle more batter on it to make it krispy. The collard green was a little grease and had sugar in them not good. Our server Cassandra was awesome, very friendly, and patient in answering our questions and serving us.
EDIT: Management reaching out and offering to have us back is enough for me to increase this review to a 5 star. We all have our bad days and this was far from the worst of them. We did go back in for another meal last week and again the drinks were great and loved our food. Fried green tomatoes were crazy good and I dont usually like a slice like that in general. Siracha chicken and waffles was very good too. Thanks for having us back! Cheers! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere, great drinks, fair pricing, and service was fairly good. I came specifically for some chicken and waffles and mimosas. I chose the Nashville hot version, but like many “Nashville hot” things in denver, it was not hot nor flavorful like a traditional Nash hot chicken. I was actually quite disappointed by my meal in general. Chicken was not spicy, Mac and cheese waffles were very very dry, and the chicken portion was a bit small. Service was a bit slow, despite being a fairly empty restaurant, but the real reason I mention service is that it was very clear our meals sat under the heat lamp for a while. We waited a long time for food and when it finally came, anything liquid had a thick skin and everything was dry. Common signs of a plate dying under the lamp. With all that said, I will for sure be back to try something else. I really wanted to like the food based on everything else I’ve heard and experienced, so I’ll have to give the siratcha chicken and waffles a try.
Excellent spot for brunch, the sweet and spicy waffles with chicken were amazing. The waffles are perfectly crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. The chicken is crunchy and juicy too. The “queen” bloody Mary’s are huge and had us feeling great. The inside is cute and although it was busy we had great service and our food came out fast. I definitely would recommend and im looking forward to coming back to try other things on the menu.
The drumstick flight was amazing, cooked to order! Got the okra and biscuits for a starter, they were delicious! Friend got the meatloaf and I got the chicken tenders. The sides were fries (normal fries) Mac and cheese (absolutely delicious with a breading on it) and the roasted potatoes (so good!!) and sweet tea was on point! Our server was awesome and personable and was on top of the drink refills! (so sorry can't remember his name but he talked about watches with my friend)
Loved the brunch options here! The sauce on the brussels sprouts was soooo good. It was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. I definitely recommend eating outside if the weather is nice. It’s the perfect spot!
First time to this denver location. Did not disappoint. Stand out service & food! We were there for brunch: 5/5 shrimp & grits - plenty amount of shrimp. Good creole flavors, esp with the lemon squeezed over. Not sure i can resist from ordering this dish next time... loved it 5/5 biscuits for a cause - id say taste is a 4.5 (still fluffy & yummy, but it is thick), but the price/amount of food/& cause bring it easily to a 5. Lemonade & iced mocha were delicious This is some of the best food ive had in denver so far.
